I walk on shaky ground
Exhausted, waiting for the soles of my shoes to tear
Allowing the Sharp rock’s jagged edges to slice me open…
The only reminder that I am still human.
My thoughts race, yet my feelings have evaported,
like a lake during a drought.
All I remember is the yelling
The ear piercing screams
But that doesn’t compare to what my heart heard
For when my heart took in it, it stopped pumping blood out.
It stopped feeling.
And I started to run
Not going where to go
But with faith of the North Star to bring me home…
So blind I was, for you were my home,
my love,my sun… My North Star
So I’m stuck to wandering in the darkness
To afraid to call out your name, or maybe to afraid that you won’t come
Until the soles of my shoes tear and the sharp rock’s jagged edges cut my feet
And my blood spurts out
The last reminder that I am still human
